Beatrice "Bea" Meulemans

Beatrice "Bea" Meulemans, age 89, passed away on August 4, 2023, in Appleton, WI. She was born on March 30, 1934, in Berlin, WI, to her late parents, Andrew and Katherine Markofski. Beatrice was a beloved wife to her late husband, Bob Meulemans married September 28, 1957. Together, they raised a beautiful family.

Beatrice will be lovingly remembered by her sons: Bruce (Connie) Meulemans, Carl Meulemans, Joseph (Donna) Meulemans, Andrew (Clare) Meulemans, and Anthony (Cindi) Meulemans. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Nick (Shaunie) Meulemans, Claire (Jacob) Bauer, Ashley (Hashiem Spoke), Katie (Joey Van Handel), Ken (Tiffany) Meulemans, Sara (Joseph) Lord, Paul (Shelli) Meulemans, Ryan, and Nathan Meulemans. Her great-grandchildren, Felicity, Bria, Rosi Meulemans, Grace Lord, and A'Myiah


In addition to her immediate family, Beatrice is survived by her brother, Bob (Karen) Markofski, sister-in-law Jean Kenjesky, brothers-in-law Bob Etka and Tom Greunke. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Bob, son Ken, and stillborn daughter Ann. Beatrice also mourned the loss of her sisters: Andrea (Ben) Werzinske, Irene Foslin, and Sister Mary Sharon (Rita) Markofski, as well as her father and mother-in-law, Felix and Adell Meulemans. She was preceded in death by sisters-in-law Betty (Dick) Weyenberg, Dot Etka, Mary (Don) Van Ooyen, and Peg Greunke, and brother-in-law Terry Kenjesky.

Beatrice attended Berlin High School, graduating with the class of 1951. Throughout her life, she pursued various endeavors, including being a homemaker and working as a legal secretary at Gabert & Williams.

St. Paul's Catholic Church in Combined Locks, WI, held a special place in Beatrice's heart. She found solace and connection in her faith community.

In her free time, Beatrice enjoyed participating in the peace and funeral choir and volunteering in the church office. She had a passion for playing cards and dominos, always eager for a game with anyone willing to join.

The Funeral Liturgy celebrating Beatrice's life will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, August 11, 2023, at ST. PAUL PARISH, 410 Wallace St. Combined Locks, WI. Visitation will be held from 9:00 am until the time of MASS.

Beatrice Meulemans will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Her warmth, kindness, and love will forever be remembered.
