Barbara A. Richardson, 91, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 26, 2023. She was born on June 20, 1931, in Eau Claire, WI, the daughter of the late Walter and Olga (Berg) Black. Barb was united in marriage to Elmer Richardson on October 1, 1981, and he preceded her in death on July 31, 2010. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Menasha, and her faith was important to her. Even after moving to the Appleton Retirement Community, she still found time to attend their Bible studies. Barb and Elmer enjoyed traveling, attending events for the grandchildren and great grandchildren and volunteering with EAA, in the Pioneer Airport. Barbara enjoyed crocheting, knitting, and doing counted cross-stitch, with her stitch and bitch club over the year. She will be remembered most for her quick wit and love for family.
Barbara is survived by her children: Deborah (Tim) Krause, Steve (Nancy) Hoover, Tim (Lori) Hoover, and Beth Dix; a step-daughter: Donna Schiefelbein; a step-daughter-in-law: Cheryl Richardson; many many many wonderful grandchildren, great grandchildren, and one great great granddaughter; other relatives and friends.
In addition to her husband and parents; Barbara was further preceded in death by a sister: Betty Lou (Roman) Tauer; a step-son: Bruce Richardson; and a step-son-in-law: Bill Schiefelbein.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am, on Saturday, June 17, 2023, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 300 Broad St., Menasha. Visitation will be on Saturday at the church from 10:00 am until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are appreciated to Trinity Lutheran Church, Menasha.
