Barbara Jane "Barb" Hokenstad

Barbara Jane “Babs” Hokenstad, age 78, of Appleton, passed away on February 3, 2020, Barbara was born on December 6, 1941 in Janesville to Clifford and Jane Francis (Montoure) Hokenstad. She was a 1959 graduate of Bonduel High School. In August 2015 she married Marlene Plont in Appleton. She was a long time employee of Gilbert Paper Company. She retired after 40 years with the company.

She enjoyed working on her home and doing yard work and gardening. She enjoyed fishing and time outside. She also loved children and enjoyed spending time with her nieces and nephews.

She will be sadly missed by her wife Marlene, siblings: Richard (Cheryl) Hokenstad, Kathryn (Larry) Hafeman, Byron (Barbara) VanderWalker, Sharon (Gary) Ambrose, Douglas (Debra) VanderWalker, Judy Lessmiller, and Gary (Marie) Vanderwalker, as well as many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clifford and Jane as well as her step father Byron VanderWalker, and five siblings, Mary Ellen Williams, Allen Hokenstad, Shirley Grosskreutz, Janet Koscher and William Hokenstad.

Funeral Services for Barbara will be on Saturday, February 8, 2020 at 11:00am at Wichmann Funeral Homes, Tri County Chapel, 1592 Oneida Street in Menasha.
