Arline Rose Ballering

Arline R. Ballering, 87 of Madison, formerly of Appleton, died Saturday March 12, 2011 at Oak Park Place in Madison from a prolonged illness. Arline was born in Milwaukee on March 7, 1924, daughter of Leo and Erma LaCosse. Arline and Robert Ballering enjoyed a long marriage. He preceded her in death on March 27, 2001.

Arline worked for AT&T in Milwaukee and Appleton where she retired from. She was very active in church social and service groups, including the OWLS; especially at St Matthew Evangelical Lutheran Church in Appleton. She loved to socialize with friends from work and church along with playing bridge weekly. Many of her friends enjoyed her quick sense of humor and sorely missed her when she retired.

Arline is survived by two sons, Mark (Jennell) of Madison, and Scott of Hartford; four grandchildren, Lana, Cassie of Hartford, Nick (Jessica) of Tucson, AZ; and Eva of Minneapolis, MN. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Robert, and a brother.

Funeral service for Arline will be held Friday March 25, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel at Highland Memorial Park with Rev. Ronald Szep of St Luke Evangelical Lutheran Church, Little Chute officiating. Visitation will begin at 10:00 A.M.
