Obituary

Anthony, a devoted husband, father, and proud veteran, passed away peacefully on September 13, 2026, at 79, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and service. Born on February 8, 1947, in Appleton, Wisconsin, Anthony was the cherished son of Juanita and Anthony J. He graduated from Kaukauna High school in 1966. He was employed at Thilmany Paper Mill in Kaukauna for 42 years until his retirement in 2010.

Anthony's life was a testament to dedication and warmth, traits that were evident in the 56 joyful years he spent married to his beloved wife, Darlene. Together, they created a nurturing home filled with laughter and love, raising two wonderful children, Anthony V and Eric J. Known for his quick wit and generous spirit, Anthony had a remarkable ability to bring joy to those around him, always ready with a humorous remark or a helping hand.

A proud veteran, Anthony served his country with honor for one year as a member of the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. His service was a source of deep pride and a reflection of his commitment to others, a commitment he carried on throughout his life.

Anthony was a man of many interests. He found joy in the simple pleasures of life, such as reading a good book, engaging in a challenging game of cribbage, being up north, and spending time with family and friends. He was an avid volunteer at St. Vincent De Paul. He survived by his wife Darlene, their two sons Anthony v and Eric J, his grandchildren, Samantha (Cory), Michaela (Coleton), Tabatha (Benjamin), Isabela, and Johnathon, and his great-grandchildren, Everett, Zaylee, Malakai, Aria, and Aurora. His many nieces and nephews also survive him.

He is further survived by John (Judy) Wyngaard, Francis (Linda) Wyngaard, Lynn and Ron Brux, Donna (Neal) Dercks, Marvin Wyngaard, Karen (Fred) Young. Norman (Cindy) Krause. He is now reunited with his parents, Juanita and Anthony J. He is also preceded in death by His in-laws Emery and Joyce Krauce, Doris Mahnke, Wilma Schroader, Lester Wyngaard, Elroy Wyngaard, and twins Dean and Dale Wyngaard, Andrew and Michael Krause.

A mass of Christian Burial will take place at 1:30pm on Wednesday October 7, 2026, at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 309 Desnoyer St, Kaukauna. Friends and family may gather at the church from 11:30am until mass begins. Tony will be laid to rest at Holy Cross Cemetery.
