Ann Elizabeth Einspahr

Ann Einspahr passed away on August 28, 2022 at The Heritage in Appleton.  She was born on November 8, 1924 at Wall Lake, Iowa.  She was a daughter of Henry and Carolyn (Wilken) Stickrod.  She graduated from Odebolt Iowa High School, attended the University of Northern Iowa and received her B.A. and Master of Science in Education (Reading) degrees from the University of Wisconsin – Oshkosh. Her chosen profession was teaching, which she dearly loved. Ann enjoyed playing bridge, world traveling, and golfing. For many years her winters were spent in Florida.  She was an avid football and baseball fan.  Cooking and baking for the family took precedence over any other activity.  She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.  Ann was a faithful member of Trinity Lutheran Church since 1955, teaching Sunday school, serving on the church council, and volunteering her services on various committees. On June 15, 1946 she married Dean Einspahr, sharing 72 years together. 

Ann is survived by her son, Dr. Larry Einspahr and wife Sharon of Walnut Creek CA; a daughter DeAnn Maurer and husband Dan of Treasure Island FL; 3 wonderful grandchildren, Matthew Einspahr (and wife Faye) of Walnut Creek CA; Scott Maurer (and wife Erin) of Bellevue WA; and Kristen Maurer of Encinitas CA, and 4 great grandchildren (Avery Einspahr, Jack Einspahr, Joshua Einspahr and Elliot Ann Maurer). She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, 2 brothers, and a sister.

A private memorial service will be held at Wichmann Tri-County Chapel on Tuesday, August 30, 2022 at 4:00 PM with Pastor Bryan Bankert officiating. The service will be broadcast live on Ann’s webpage at www.wichmannfuneralhomes.com. There will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church or a memorial of your choice.
