Ana Karen Herrera-Quiroz, age 26 of Kimberly, WI joined her heavenly kingdom after a hard-fought battle with cancer on June 14, 2024. She was born to Alejandro Herrera and Alma Quiroz on October 17, 1997 in Veracruz, Mexico. After high school, she became a landscaper and a factory worker after moving to the USA to be with her father. Ana married Cristian Hernandez Maldonado in October of 2016 and together, they raised two beautiful children.
In her youth, Ana enjoyed playing soccer with her school and her friends. She loved to spend as much time as she could with her family and friends. Ana treasured all the get-togethers she had with her extended family. She enjoyed her time outdoors, especially going camping and spending quality time with her kids and her husband at their favorite river and lake in Indiana. Ana was a fighter and never let her diagnosis change her as a person. She will always be remembered for being such a happy person and never letting anything get her down.
Ana will be deeply missed by her husband, Cristian; her children, Allisson, Cristina, and Alexia; her parents, Alex and Alma; her siblings, Jorge, Elsy, Britany, Jesus, Brandon, Virginia, Maya, and Alberto; her paternal grandparents, Nestor and Lidia; as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other extended relatives, and dear friends.
Ana is preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Marta; and several aunts and uncles.
A funeral visitation will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2024 from 9-11 at St. Therese Catholic Parish, 213 E. Wisconsin Ave, Appleton, WI 54911 with a mass to follow at 11 AM. Following the mass, one final viewing will take place at Wichmann Tri-County Chapel, 1592 Oneida St, Menasha, WI 54952 from 12:30 - 2:30 PM.
