Alma "Marie" Wolter

Alma “Marie” Wolter (Lepak) age 89 of Kimberly, WI passed away to join her heavenly kingdom on February 23, 2023, surrounded by her family.  She was born to Felix Sr. and Angeline (Yenter) Lepak on September 25, 1933.  Marie graduated from Manawa High School with the class of ’51.  She went onto become a CNA for St. Elizabeth Hospital for most of her life.  Marie married the love of her life, Bob “Bucky” Wotler in July of 1952 and together, they raised 5 wonderful children. 

Marie was a great cook, always getting new recipes and inspiration from her husband every week.  She was also an expert craftswoman, working with fabric to create very beautiful works of art.  Marie enjoyed taking trips up to the cottage as often as possible and taking the family with.  She and Bob were very devout Catholics, attending their church, Holy Spirit in Kimberly, at least once a week and volunteering in various activities and charities whenever they were able.  She loved her pet dog, Jenna, who kept her in good company after Bob passed away.  More than anything, though, Marie was a very proud caregiver, always spending as much time as she could with her children and grandchildren, nurturing them and making sure they grew up to be good, caring people. 

Marie is survived by her children, John (Joyce), Pat (Mike), Diane (Boyd), Tom (Mary), and Jim (Paula); her grandchildren, Keri Anne (Eric), Chad (Kerry), Jerrad (Mindy), Jamie (Brock), Greg (Yanique), Tim (Heidi), Trav (Beth), Mackenzie (Rich), Emily (Albert), Jake (Jacy), Ali (Tyler), and Annie (Preston); her great-grandchildren, Mae, Lulu, Valerie, David, Evie, Ava, Owen, and Charlie; her siblings, Basil (Kathy), Carl, Pat, Felix Jr, Angie, Sharon (Larry), and Margie (Mike); her special nieces, Mary and Virginia; as well as many other nieces, nephews, other extended relatives, and dear friends. 

Marie is preceded in death by her husband, Bob; her parents, Felix Sr and Angeline; her son-in-law, Mark; her siblings, Tom (Rita), Betty (Jim), Gabe (Mary), Carol (Dave), (Mike), (Peggy), and (David).

A memorial visitation will be held for Marie from 9-11 AM on Saturday, March 18, 2023 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 600 E. Kimberly Ave, Kimberly, WI 54136 with a memorial mass to follow at 11 AM.  Marie will be laid to rest in Holy Name Cemetery in Kimberly.  In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you please make a donation to the Larson-Winchester Lion’s Club in honor of Marie. 

The family would like to thank all the nursing staff at Aspire Senior Living and St. Elizabeth Hospital for taking such good care of Marie and providing constant comfort and compassion through her stay at both places.  The family would also like to send an extra special thank-you to Marie’s long-term friend and neighbor, Caryl for her love and light in Marie’s life.
