RIDER, WILLIE MAE

Willie Mae Rider, 87, of Menasha, passed away peacefully from declining health, on Monday, December 20, 2010 at Brewster Village. She was born on April 8, 1923 in Fulton, Mississippi, the daughter of the late Dow and Jasmine (Grissom) Wilson. Willie Mae retired from Wisconsin Tissue Mills, after 23 years of employment. She enjoyed fishing, baking and cooking. Willie Mae enjoyed her trips to the casino and playing bingo. Her arms were always open for all the babies and she truly loved being with her grandchildren.

Willie Mae is survived by her son, Dan (Kay) Rider; five grandchildren: Kurt (Roxanne) and Keith Akstulewicz; Lane and Jacob Rider and Stacey Klingaman; great grandchildren: Jessica, Jennifer, Jacqueline and Justine; Nicholas and Jonathan; Stephanie and Kiale; great great granddaughter, Lily; brother, Woodson (Mayola) Wilson; sister, Sue (Sam) Sappington and special friend, Victor Briones and his family. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Willie Mae was preceded in death by her daughters, Carol, Ruth and Barbara; son, Scott; granddaughter, Gail and long-time companion, Robert Hawkos.

The memorial service for Willie Mae will be held at 6:00 pm on Thursday, December 23, 2010 at WICHMANN FUNERAL TRI-COUNTY CHAPEL with Rev. Tim Albrecht officiating. Inurnment will take place at Highland Memorial Park. A time of visitation will be held from 4:30 pm until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
