Violet “Vi” Schuh

Violet “Vi” Schuh entered eternal life on Tuesday, October 27, 2009. Vi was born to Nicklas and Marian (Row) Licht. She was united in marriage to Leroy Schuh on September 1, 1938. Sadly, Leroy died on February 16, 1964. Throughout her long, healthy life, Vi maintained many hobbies. She loved playing bridge and was a formidable darts opponent. Vi was a fixture in her neighborhood, having lived in the same house her entire life. She was an independent lady, enjoying long walks and taking great pride in her hometown of Kaukauna. Though Vi and Leroy did not have any children of their own, Vi was considered a “grandma” to several of the neighborhood children. Her spirit, sense of humor, and loyal friendship will be greatly missed.
Vi is survived by nieces, June Graeber, Ann Cox, and Marion Hitter, nephews Gary Licht and Roger Potter, and special friends, the Peeters' family. Vi was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Leroy, sister Dolores Potter and brothers Armand, Gerald, Everitt, and Wilfred (Bud) Licht.
A memorial service for Vi will be held on Sunday, November 1, 2009 at 2:00p.m. at Immanual United Church of Christ, (510 Sullivan Avenue, Kaukauna) with the Rev. Melinda Feller officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Immanual United Church of Christ.
