VIOLET JIRIKOWIC

Violet Jirikowic, age 99, of Kaukauna passed away on Wednesday, December 23, 2009 at St. Paul Home. Violet was born on August 15, 1910 to the late Axel and Tekla (Swanson) Moberg. Violet married Frank J. Jirikowic on November 9, 1931 in Presque Isle. She loved children and spent a great deal of time with her grandkids. Violet loved to bake and cook. She moved to Kaukauna in 1975 and was a member of Immanuel United Church of Christ.

Violet is survived by her daughters: Jessica (Michael) Bowers of Newaygo, Michigan and Clarice Van Kleeck of Kaukauna; 13 grandchildren: Debra, Eva, Linda, Frank III, Peter, Mary, Tony, Elsa, Lauri, Shawn, Heidi, Arno and Whitney; 18 great grandchildren and a sister: Dorothy Barnish, Schaumburg, Illinois.

Violet was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Frank Joseph, Sr.; a brother: William Axel; a son: Frank Joseph, Jr.; and one great granddaughter, Rhiannan.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 24, 2010 at Immanuel United Church of Christ at 11:00 AM with Pastor Melinda Feller officiating. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established in her memory at Immanuel United Church of Christ.
