GLOUDEMANS, VALERIA A.
Valeria Gloudemans, of Appleton, age 89, passed away peacefully on January 2, 2009 after a short illness with her family by her side. She was born on December 2, 1919 in Mackville, Wisconsin, the daughter of the late Joseph and Rose (Hoffman) Fischer. Valeria was a very active member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She volunteered at St. Vincent de Paul. Valeria loved cooking, baking, needlework and tending to her garden.
She is survived by her loving children: Gary (Sheri) Gloudemans; Eileen (significant other Gregg Steffen) Mannebach; Jim (Sue) Gloudemans and Wayne (Julie) Gloudemans; her nine grandchildren: Denise Gloudemans and Jane (Bob) Krueger; Jason and Tara Mannebach; Todd Gloudemans, Paul (Natalie Burns) Gloudemans and Melissa (Luke) Diedrich; Craig (Kim) Gloudemans and Curt Gloudemans and her sister: Georgiana (Ray) Baum. Valeria is further survived by seven great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Peter Gloudemans, her son, Dane Gloudemans, two sisters and two brothers.
The funeral liturgy for Valeria will be held at 4:30 pm on Monday, January 5, 2009 at SACRED HEART CATHOLIC CHURCH, 222 E. Fremont Street, Appleton. Father Robert Karuhn will be officiating. Burial will take place at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. A time of visitation and support will be held on Monday at the church from 2:30 pm until the time of mass. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in her name.
