Thomas A. Crandall, age 83, of Menasha passed away peacefully at Oakridge Gardens Nursing Center on July , 2012. Tom was born January 16, 1929 in Mountain, Wisconsin, son of the late Alva and Wilma Crandall. After graduating from West Milwaukee High School, Tom proudly joined the United States Air Force. He worked many jobs through the years including police officer, construction worker and insurance agent, retiring as head health inspector from OSHA in Appleton.
Tom will always be remembered for his great sense of humor. He enjoyed fishing, boating, hunting and flying airplanes. Tom held a special place in his heart for cats and was immensely proud of being an Air Force Veteran.
Tom leaves behind two daughters, Georgia Beyer and Holly (Art Wachal) Billings. He will be fondly remembered by his grandchildren; Nicole (Dean) Wintersberger, Bridgett (Chad) Schmidt, Stacy Billings, Lori (Tony) Ramos and Bryan (Jen) Billings. Tom is also survived by his nine great grandchildren; McKenna, Jacob, Cole, Aaron, Zachary, Madison, Autumn, Brinn and Baby Billings, nephews; Kipp (Cathy) Crandall, Scott Crandall and Tom's very best friend Laura Lowry. Tom is preceded in death by his son; Tommy Crandall, brother; William Crandall, son-in-law; John Beyer and Tom's first wife Myrna Crandall.
The Crandall family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Oakridge Gardens Nursing Center and Heartland Hospice for their compassionate care.
