Age 87, died on Wednesday, April 3, 2002, at Brewster Village. Selma was born on July 30 1914, daughter of the late Albert and Julia (Bahrs) Martin. On July 14, 1943, Selma married Edmund Schaetzel, and he preceded her in death in 1996. Selma was a member of Faith Lutheran Church. She will be greatly missed by her son, Philip Schaetzel, Appleton; her sister, Hattie Locke (Guardian), Appleton; and her niece, Mary Jane (Frances) Vander Velden, Appleton. Selma was preceded in death by 3 sisters and 4 brothers. The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, April 6, 2002, at WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME, with Rev. Paul R. Brinkman officiating. Interment will be held at Highland Memorial Park. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Saturday, April 6, from 8:30 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
