Ruth Marie Jensen (Traas)
Age 88
Of Appleton, passed away at Franciscan Care Center on April 15, 2004. She was born to the late Erie and Gladys Traas in Stephensville, Wisconsin on April 11, 1916. Ruth married Melvin Jensen on December 15, 1939. She worked at Lawrence University as a receptionist for twenty years. Ruth was a member of First English Lutheran Church and was involved in the Ladies Aid and Quilting Circle. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, baking and embroidering.

Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Melvin; children: Judy (Sam) Elliott, Hortonville, WI and their children Barry Elliott and his children, Shane and Jesse, and Terry Elliott (Ann) and their children, Logan and Maggie; Jean (Ned) Sutherland, Humble, Texas and their daughter, Beth (Alex) Hutson and their children, Conner and Madeline; JoMarie (Vern) Bellile, Hortonville, WI and their children: Kurt (Karen) Bellile, Kim (Dennis) Krull and their children, A.J., Zachary and Ryan; Craig (Margo) Bellile and their children Rachael and Max; and Corey (Susan) Bellile and their children, Austin and Brandon; she is further survived by a sister, Virginia (Stanley) Allen, South Dakota and by numerous nieces, nephews, family members and friends.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, grandson, Tyler and great granddaughter Brittnay.

Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, April 18, 2004 at 4:00 pm at the funeral home with Pastor Christian Quello officiating. Visitation will begin at 2:00 pm until the time of services. Interment will take place in Riverside Cemetery, Appleton. A memorial fund is being established.
