Age 90, died on Thursday, August 21, 2003 in Appleton at St. Elizabeth Hospital. Lala was born in Kaukauna on October 11, 1912, daughter of the late Ferdinand and Hattie (Van Denzen) Windisch. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and their alter society.

Lala is survived by a godchild, Jacquelyn Benotch and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; sisters: Evangeline (Art) Jansen, Marie (Art) Werth, Elizabeth (Fred) Krueger, and Nan (Al) Peterson; and two brothers: Fred and Wenzel Windisch.

The funeral liturgy will be at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, August 25, 2003 at St. Mary Catholic Church, 119 West Seventh Street, Kaukauna, with Fr. Robert Udulutsch, O.F.M.Cap. officiating. Friends will be received at the church from 3:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be at St. Mary Cemetery, Kaukauna.

The family extends a special thank you to the staff at Kindred Heart and Dr. Danz for their care of Lala.

A memorial fund has been established in Lala’s name.
