Age 49, passed away very unexpectedly on Monday July 16, 2007. Ray was born July 30, 1957 in El Paso, Texas, son of Phillip and Jean (Klingbile) Gurlik. He graduated from Neenah High School, and resided in the valley area most of his life. He worked for Van Zeeland Car Care Center for many years. Ray is survived by his wife, Janet, whom he had been married to for 31 years; his mother Jean Gurlik, of Neenah; his loving girls Angie and Andrea Gurlik (special friendVinnie); a sister, Julie Lorenz of South Carolina; 2 brothers, Greg (Cheryl) Gurlik of Milwaukee; and Phillip Gurlik of Maryland. Ray is further survived by a brother in law, Bill (Sarah) Sjoquist, and a sister in law Teresa (Jim) Schabel, and nieces and nephews. Ray was preceded in death by his father Phillip Gurlik.
Ray loved to spend time with his family, and was always helping others. He was a generous, kind and loyal person whose sense of humor will be missed

Funeral Services for Ray will be held at 7 P.M. on Thursday July 19, 2007 at the Wichmann Funeral Home, Tri County Chapel, 3212 S. Oneida St. Menasha, with Chaplain Jordan Kuczwara officiating. Visitation will be from 4 P.M. until the time of services. A memorial is being established.
