Robert ''Hap'' Hoolihan

ROBERT “HAP” HOOLIHAN
APPLETON

Age 82, passed away Friday, January 26, 2001 at Encore Senior Villa. He was born October 12, 1918 son of the late Michael and Josephine (Wolf) Hoolihan. Hap married Elizabeth Fose on November 12, 1966 and she preceded him in death on June 9, 1995. He graduated from Appleton High School and was a member of St. Bernards Catholic Church. Over the years, he had been employed by the Sylvester and Niesen Office Supply Company, Langstaedt Electric and the Chicago Northwestern Railroad from which he retired after 28 years of service. Hap was an avid hunter, enjoyed fishing, can crushing, going to Packer games and watching them on the television. He was a member of the Elks, the American Legion and the Railroad Trainmen Brotherhood. Hap also served in the Marine Corps 5th Division from which he was Honorably Discharged as a Staff Sergeant.

He is survived by his sister, Lucille M. Hoolihan of Appleton; his two sisters in law and brother in law, Marilyn Weyenberg of Appleton; Dorothy and John Rath of West Allis. He will also be missed by several nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother in law Carl and Marie Fose, brothers in law, Carlton Fose and Robert Weyenberg.

The Liturgy Service will be 11:00 AM on Tuesday, January 30, 2001 at ST. BERNARDS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 1617 West Pine Street with Fr. John Bergstadt officiating. Friends may call directly at Church Tuesday morning from 9:00 AM until the time of service. Burial will take place in St. Joseph Cemetery.

A memorial has been established.
