Age 78, died Wednesday, May 29, 2002. Bob was born January 18, 1924 to the late Richard and Della (Mummert) Stowasser in Milwaukee, WI. He married Arlene Brandt on November 6, 1948 at St. Matthew Ev. Lutheran Church in Appleton, she survives him. Bob served in the Marine Corps. during World War II, before being honorably discharged. He worked 43 years as a Pressman at Banta Corporation. Bob was a gentle man who enjoyed gardening, birds, nature and fishing. He also played a lot of cards, worked on jig saw puzzles and enjoyed to read. Bob will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife, Arlene Stowasser; two sons, Robert (Theresa) Stowasser and Allen Stowasser; four grandchildren, Joel, Cassandra (Ken), Patricia and Crystal; three great grandchildren, Parker, Alexandra and Sarina. Bob will also be missed by a brother, Harold Greiser; a nephew, Frank Greiser; four sisters in law; numerous other nieces, nephews and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, mother, step-father, Henry Bauer and baby sister, Lillian.

The funeral service will be 11:00 AM on Friday, May 31, 2002 at ST. MATTHEW Ev. LUTHERAN CHURCH, 129 S. Mason Street, Appleton with Rev. David F. Pagel and Rev. Jeffrey Verbeke co-officiating. The viewing and visitation will be 9:00 AM on Friday at CHURCH until the time of service. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Park. A memorial is being established in Bob’s name.

The family would like to thank Dr. A. Sandor Goldstein, Dr. Kim Riess-Sagers and the nursing staff in ICU at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital for all the love, care and compassion they gave to Bob and his family.
