Richard Brennecke

March 22, 1941 — September 4, 2013

Richard Brennecke, 72, of Appleton, passed away on Wednesday, September 4, 2013.

Rick was born on March 22, 1941 to Herman and Leah (Tenant) Brennecke in Milwaukee. He served in the US Army from 1960 until 1965. He married Linda Gonnering on September 22, 1990 in Appleton. He retired from Metso Machine in 1992. Rick enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and computers. He loved animals and motorcycle rides, most of all he enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Rick is survived by his wife Linda, three children: Becky (Bill) McEnery, Willimantic, Connecticut, Richard (Ellen McCoy) Brennecke, and Connie (Donald Skalecki) Stever; five grandchildren: “Punky” Jasmyne (Josh Hochtritt) Brennecke, Justin Stever, Amanda Stever, Travis Skalecki and Nicholas Skalecki; his dog Louie, a special cousin John (Cynthia) Tenant, brothers, sisters, other relatives and friends.

Rick was preceded in death by his parents, a step-father, a brother and a sister.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2013 at 3:00 PM at the WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME. A time of visitation will be held on Saturday from 1:00 PM until the time of the service at the funeral home.
