Regina Ann Brooks

February 13, 1916 — January 24, 2003

Age 86, passed away Friday, January 24, 2003 at a local care center. Regina was born in the town of Woodville, daughter of the late Henry and Catherine (Gerrits) Fink. On October 5, 1937, she married Leo Brooks. He preceded her in death in 1992. Regina was well known for her needlework, especially crochet. She was also a faithful fan of the daily soap operas on television. Regina was also a longtime and faithful member of Holy Cross Church in Kaukauna, but had recently attended Holy Name in Kimberly.

She is survived by two daughters: Jeanne (Thomas) Selig of Kimberly and Judy (Fritz) Voecks of Appleton; a son: Gerald (Maryann) Brooks of Kaukauna; six grandchildren: Annette (Dan) Goeser, Dan (Brenda) Brooks, Diane (Scott) Vande Wettering, Sarah Selig, Jennifer Selig, and Michelle (Lee) Griesbach; six great-grandchildren: Mellissa Brooks, Zachary Brooks, Travis, Goeser, Justin Goeser, Logan Vande Wettering, and Ross Vande Wettering; a sister: Lorraine (Pat) McDaniel of Racine; two brothers: Robert Fink of Chippewa Falls and Kenneth Fink of Fayetteville, Alabama; two sisters-in-law: Katherine Fink of Cambria and Helen Schuh of Appleton; and a brother-in-law: Francis Brooks of Kaukauna. Regina was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 1992, a son Larry in 1947, three brothers, and four sisters.

The funeral liturgy for Regina will be held at 4:00 PM on Monday, January 27, 2003 at HOLY CROSS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 309 Desnoyer Street in Kaukauna with Fr. Jack Mullarkey officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call directly at the church on Monday from 2:00 PM until the hour of the service.

The family would like to extend their thanks to Dr. Scott and Dr. Schoenbill for their wonderful level of care. Thanks also to the entire staff at Care Partners, especially Kori and Rhonda who cared for mother as though she was their very own. Sr. Annette Koss and Pat Kluge brought communion to Regina and offered many prayers. Your kindness will never be forgotten.
