Randy Laux

November 17, 1925 — May 10, 2015

Randolph J. “Randy” Laux, 89, passed away on Sunday, May 10, 2015. Randy was born on November 17, 1925 to Gordon and Rose (Garrity) Laux Sr.

Randy was united in marriage to Emily Lewis in June 1945. He was a veteran having served in the Air force. Randy started his career working with his father at Laux Motors Chrysler Plymouth, he then started Tri-City Motors and later started Laux AMC in Menasha, he loved cars and they were in his blood. He was also a real estate investor. Randy had many diverse hobbies that he enjoyed especially racing homing pigeons as a member of the Fox Valley Flying Club. Randy was also a pilot and enjoyed flying his Piper Cub. He also was an active outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing, especially the Canada trips and hunting. They liked traveling and vacationing and in their later years enjoyed wintering in sunny Florida where Emily grew up as a child. He was a devoted husband and father, and a wonderful caregiver for his wife at Prairie Homes in Menasha.

Randy is survived by his wife, Emily, three children; Michael (Carol) Laux, Pat Laux, and Judy (Dale) Voysey, ten grandchildren; Shannon, Shane, Eric, Chad, Heather, Nicole, Tonya, Alecia, Jesse and Mikaela, 23 great grandchildren; seven siblings; Don (Yoko) Laux, Dave (Judy) Laux, Gordy (Lois) Laux, Joe (Pam) Laux, John Laux, Mary (Tom) Murphy, Kathy (Larry) Fondow, a sister-in-law, Carmen Laux, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Randy was preceded in death by his parents, a son James (Judy) Laux, a brother Pat Laux, and a sister Bunny (Cliff) Damro.

The funeral liturgy will be held on Thursday, May 14, 2015 at 11:30AM at ST. PIUS X CATHOLIC CHURCH, 500 W. Marquette St., with Rev. William Van Dynhoven officiating. A time of visitation will be held on Thursday from 9:30 AM until the time of the mass at church. Interment will be in the Riverside Cemetery.
