Mary Elizabeth Busch passed on November 7, 2002, at the Heritage Peabody Manor. She was born October 7, 1906, to the late Walter G. Ellis and Caroline Hamilton Ellis in Chicago, Illinois. She was married to Dr. Orrin R. Busch in Milwaukee on December 13, 1924, and they soon moved to Appleton. Mrs. Busch was a member of the Christian Science Church for which she served in numerous capacities including clerk and reader. She was an avid homemaker and enjoyed many social activities such as the Appleton Women's Club, a book review club, and a number of bridge clubs. She had a keen interest in politics and took great pride in her British heritage.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband; her daughter Carol Elizabeth Letter; and a granddaughter, Heather Jeanne Busch.
She is survived by her brother Pierce G. Ellis of Littleton, Colorado; her son, Stephen E. Busch and his wife Jo Anne of Fort Collins, Colorado; seven grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 19, 2002 at the Wichmann Funeral Home, 537 North Superior Street, Appleton. Friends and family will be received on Tuesday at the Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
Donations may be directed to the Christian Science Church of Appleton or to charities of choice.
