Of Appleton, WI, originally from Milwaukee, lost her fight with Lewy Body dementia on December 7th, 2008 at the age of 78. She leaves behind her 3 beloved children and their spouses, Julene (David) Baldwin, Larry Beyer, and Loryn (Mark) Wilde. She will be greatly missed by her 4 grandchildren, Sam and Andrew Baldwin, Eryn (Tom) Sawyer, and Colin Wilde. She is survived by her brother-in-law Donald (Barbara) Beyer and sister- in-law Carol (Richard) Luedtke. She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Kenneth Beyer in January 2000 and her brother Richard in Dec 2003.

Chris was born August 15, 1930 in Milwaukee where she lived until 2004 when she relocated to Appleton. She married the love of her life, Kenneth Beyer in 1952. She worked for the Curative Workshop and also for the Whitnall School District at Whitnall Middle and Edgerton Elementary Schools.

One of Chris's great loves was volunteering at the Timber Wolf Preservation Society in Franklin, WI. She was a board member and loyal volunteer until the passing of her dear friend, TWPS founder, Jim Rieder.

The last several years of Chris's life were spent at Brewster Village Nursing Home, where she received extraordinary care from their wonderful staff.

Chris was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

A memorial service will be held at 11am on Saturday, December 13, 2008, at Klemmer's Banquet Center at 10401 W. Oklahoma Av, Milwaukee, WI. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established in Chris' name to fund activities for the residents at Brewster Village.
