Armstrong, Mary Parker

Mary Parker Armstrong, 93, passed away on Saturday, May 29, 2010. Mary was born on December 23, 1916 to the late Orson and Lena (Walters) Struck in Appleton. Mary was united in marriage to Roland Parker on November 28, 1935 and he preceded her in death in 1960. She then married Darrell Armstrong in August of 1965 and they lived in Illinois for over 30 years until he passed away in 1998. Mary loved to dance and garden she also enjoyed bowling and playing cards. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and a Lady Elk.
Mary is survived by 3 children; Sandra (Ron) Wambach, Fort Wayne, IN, Steve (Sandy) Parker, Delafield, WI, David (Majida) Parker, Liberty Hill, TX, a step-son; Scott (Barb) Armstrong, Santa Fe, NM, 16 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren, a sister; Jane Howell, Hartland, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Mary was preceded in death by her husbands, a brother Robert, a sister Ruth and a great-grandson, Daniel.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, June 2, 2010 at 10:30 AM at St Mary's Catholic Church (312 S. State St. Appleton). Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Friends may call on Wednesday from 9:30 AM until the time of services at the church. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Pro Health Home Care Hospice in Hartland, WI.
