Marvis Mayerl

Marvis Jane Mayerl, age 87, passed away December 22, 2010 at Nazareth Health and Rehabilitation in Stoughton, Wisconsin, where she was cared for with much love and compassion. She was born November 12, 1923 in Reedsville to William and Bertha (Leick) Kabat. On June 8, 1943, she married the love of her life, Joseph L. Mayerl. He preceded her in death in 2002.

Marvis is survived by her son: Joseph K. (Mary) Mayerl of Valrico, Florida; a daughter: Karen Lynn (Larry Temby) Mayerl of Madison; grandchildren: Sara (Ray) Kincaid and Katie (AJ) Wold of Florida; Brian (Dana) Jansen of Madison; Greta (Reggie Costict) Jansen of Waunakee; and Devin Jansen of Beaver Dam; great-grandchildren: Jessica, Lorena, Samantha, Mollyjo, Brian, Emaleigh, and Nevaeh; great-great-grandchildren: Katlyn, Juliana, and Elijiah. She is also survived by two sisters: Marie (Robert) Makoutz and Madis �Mickey� Breit; two sisters-in-law: Catherine Kabat and Marion Mayerl; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Marvis was preceded in death by her darling Joe, three infant children: Mark, Mary Beth, and Frances; brothers: Bud (Eleanor) Kabat and Bill Kabat; a sister: Maxine Carter; sisters-in-law: Marge (Harold) Spanbauer, Marie (William) Delsman, and Helen Scott; and a brothers-in-law: John Mayerl, Paul Mayerl, and Ralph Breit..

The funeral liturgy for Marvis will be held at 12:15 PM on Saturday, January 8, 2010 at HOLY CROSS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 309 Desnoyer Street in Kaukauna with Fr. Tom Pomeroy officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Saturday morning from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers memorial funds have been established for the family to benefit hospice care and the American Cancer Society.
