Martha "Marti" Leitermann

Martha “Marti” Leitermann, 96, Kimberly, passed away on March 15, 2014 at her home. The former Marti Raymaker was born on May 29, 1917 in Little Chute WI, the daughter of the late Adrian and Minnie (DeGroot) Raymaker. She is the oldest of 12 children. She met her husband Herbert while he was a patient at the hospital she worked at as an Aide. She married Herbert C. Leitermann on June 14, 1938 at Holy Sprit Catholic Church in Kimberly. Herbert preceded her in death on September 4, 1995. She was a Kimberly resident most of her life. Martha was a wonderfully loving and faithful wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother and friend. She loved her familyand was proud of all their accomplishments. Her hobbies include playing cards, bingo, making quilts for the children and doing things for others. She also enjoyed cooking and baking. Most of all she loved fulfilling her life long dream of traveling with Herbert to Hawaii, Canada, Mexico and most of the continental United States. She was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church, the Ladies of Holy Name and the Golden Ager's. She also enjoyed her involvement in Senior Quest and card clubs.

She is survived by one daughter Marlene (Lloyd) Hermsen, Kimberly, twin sons, James (Phyllis) Leitermann and Gerold (friend Rhonda Bartel) Leitermann and her greatest pride and joy, her 12 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren, son-in-law Lloyd Gunther. She is further survived by her sister Janet Schuh, Kaukauna, brother John Raymaker, Little Chute and sister-in-law Gertrude Raymaker, Little Chute as well as nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband of 57 years, Herbert, daughter Darlene (Marlene's twin) Gunther, four sisters Francis (Bob) Dombruch, Ann (Bob) Helms, Nellie (Gib) Foster and Mary Klatt, five brothers, Albert (Emaline), Joe, Bill, Jim and Peter Raymaker, daughter-in-law Helen Leitermann, and Doris Raymaker, brother-in-law Joe Schuh.

Mass of Christian Burial will be on Wednesday March 19, 2014 at 12:00 pm at Holy Spirit/Holy Name Catholic Church, 600 E. Kimberly Avenue, Kimberly with Fr. Bob Kollath and Msgr John Schuh concelebrating. Visitation will be at Jansen-Fargo Funeral Home in Kimberly on Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 pm. There will be a parish prayer service at 7:30 pm Tuesday. Visitation will continue at church on Wednesday from 10:00 am until the time of Mass. Burial at Holy Name Cemetery.
