McCrory, Martha Jean

Martha Jean McCrory, 97, of Appleton, passed away on Thursday, June 3rd, 2010, at Brewster Village. Jean was born February 24, 1913, in Glenwood, Minnesota, to the late William and Jean Ewing. On June 16, 1937, Jean married her best friend, Ernest McCrory, and farmed in Minnesota during their 60 years of marriage. She was a member of the Reformed Presbyterian Church and later attended the Baptist Church.

Besides farming, Jean enjoyed gardening, quilting, crocheting and reading. Mostly, she loved spending time with Ernest, their children and families.

Jean is survived by her daughter, Martha (Keith) Lind of Appleton; son, Richard (Dianne) McCrory of Minneapolis, MN; six grandchildren, Brad Lind, Randy Lind, Jason Lind, Kevin Lind, Devin Lind, T.J. McCrory, Lynn (David) McCrory Brown; and two great-grandchildren. Jean is preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers, and a sister.

Funeral services and interment will be in Glenwood, Minnesota.

The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the entire staff at Brewster Village for their excellent care and loving kindness to Jean and her family. We truly enjoyed them becoming part of our family.
