Marsha Joan DeDecker

April 18, 1949 — June 10, 2001

Marsha J. DeDecker
Nee Oatman

Marsha was born to eternal life on June 10, 2001, at the age of 52, after a long and determined battle against breast cancer. Beloved wife of William, loving mother of Todd (Sheila), Flower Mound, Texas and Tony, Lewisville, Texas. Dear grandmother of Paige and Cordelia. She is also survived by her mother Dell Oatman, Neenah; five sisters, Peggy Radtke, Appleton; Judy (John) Benz, Wautoma; Jill (Randy) Preiebe, Appleton; Karen Oatman, Kimberly; Debbie (Jesse) Rangle, Oshkosh; and four brothers, Tim (Mary), Appleton; Mike Oatman, Boscobel; Rex (Alaine), Fort Worth, Texas and Brian Oatman, Neenah, also 10 nephews and 11 nieces. Marsha was preceded in death by her Father, Tony; two brothers, Tom and Scott; and Camilla Baker, her niece.

Marsha was a wonderful wife and mother and took special pleasure from her granddaughters, Paige (angel girl) and Cordelia (pistol girl). She took pride in her skills as a decorator and her love of a cozy, country home. She took joy with her many flower gardens in her park-like back yard. She loved to read from her collection of books and also enjoyed crocheting and playing cribbage. She loved to cut-out and hand paint wooden craft items that she gave to her family and friends. She also marveled at the beauty of nature, and loved all of Gods creatures, especially her horse “Honey” and her favorite collie “Baron”.

Marsha will be deeply missed by her Husband of nearly 34 years, William, sons Todd and Tony, her daughter-in-law, Sheila whom she loved as her daughter and also by her best friend and sister Debbie, and cherished friends Lynn and Jeff.
A heartfelt thank you to hospice, her doctors and nurses, and all the other people who helped to make her breast cancer battle a lighter burden.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Wednesday June 13, 2001 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
Interment will be at St. Mary Cemetery in Appleton.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund is being established.
Sweet dreams, “Punkin” until we’re united again.
