RACH, Marcella Lydia Louise (Boche)

Marcella Rach, age 88, died on December 12, 2008, in Appleton, following a long illness. Marcie was born at home in Clayton Township, WI (near Winchester) on February 16, 1920. She was the fifth of eight children born to Walter Boche and Elizabeth Catencamp Boche. She grew up on her parents' farm, went to beauty school, and worked at the Tip Top Beauty Shop in Neenah until her marriage to Ewald Rach in 1940. She and Ewald had three children: Steven, Richard, and Nancy. After Ewald's death, she worked at Prange's in Appleton and Oshkosh for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ewald; her daughter, Nancy Siewert; six of her siblings; and her great-granddaughter, Elizabeth Ruble. Marcie will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by her children Steven (Janice) Rach and Richard (Elizabeth) Rach; grandchildren Daniel Siewert, Melissa Rach (Matthew Ruble), Robert (Sara) Rach, and Brian (Jennifer) Rach; great-grandchildren Isaac and Logan Rach, and Beatrice Ruble; her sister, Ena Faye Benedict; and special family members Michael and Sandra Siewert. The family would like to thank the staff at the Rennes Health Center who have taken such good care of Marcie over the years. Funeral services will be at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, December 15, 2008, at WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME, Appleton, with Rev. Kurt Kovanen officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of services. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park, Appleton.
