Age 94, passed away on Tuesday, March 22, 2005 at her home. She was born on January 28, 1911 in the Town of Center to the late Anton and Bertha (Gosse) Otto. On June 26, 1937 she married Willis Schroeder at Emmanuel United Methodist Church in the Town of Center; formerly Evangelical United Brethren Church. They farmed in the Town of Center for many years retiring in 1964. Willis passed in 1991. She was employed as a bookkeeper for S.C. Shannon Co. for many years; and also did tax accounting in the area.
Lucille is survived by her children: Luann (John) Runte of Greenville, Cheryl (William) Van Straten of Shiocton, and Joleen (Thom) Willis of Chicago; her grandchildren: Christine Runte of Roanoke, VA and Christopher Runte of Appleton; Travis (Gina) Van Straten of Hortonville, and Lance Van Straten and special friend Lisa Lamers of Little Chute; Trent Willis and special friend Michele Osorno of Carol Stream, IL, and Stephani Willis and special friend Steve Moore of Santa Rosa, CA; her great grandchildren: Trevor and Trey Van Straten; and a sister-in-law Norma Wussow of Shawano. Lucille was preceded in death by her husband, an infant daughter Sharon Marie, her parents, and her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
A funeral service for Lucille will be conducted on Saturday March 26, 2005 at 11:00 AM at the WICHMANN TRI-COUNTY CHAPEL with the Rev. Loretta Waegli officiating. Interment will take place at Highland Memorial Park. Friends may call at the Tri-County Chapel on Saturday from 9:00 AM until the time of the service. A memorial fund is being established.
