McGraw, Lucille “Cele” H.

Cele McGraw was born November 19, 1922 in Appleton to Marcus and Minna Steinhauer. She was married to Michael Lockery in 1946, they had three daughters, Judie, Mary and Kelly. She was later married to John McGraw in 1961. Cele worked in retail catalog sales for Spiegel's in Appleton and then for Montgomery Ward in Clintonville, as well as Schauder Drug, also Clintonville. Following the death of her husband John, she returned to Appleton and worked as a receptionist for the Heritage Retirement Center. She volunteered for Appleton Medical Center and Roosevelt Elementary School. She is survived by three daughters, Judie (Bert) Tardiff, Mary (Craig) Sawicki and Kelly (Pat) Rogers, four grandchildren, Megan, Katie and Mitchell Rogers and Todd Koenigs, a sister, Carol (John) Solo Rio and by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Adele “Dolly” and Florence, brother, Ervin and her husband, John. Funeral services for Cele will be held on Sunday, November 15, 2009 at 1:30 p.m. at WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME TRI-COUNTY CHAPEL, 3212 S. Oneida St., Menasha with Gary Wolfman officiating. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Interment will take place in Zion Cemetery, Appleton. Cele's family is also receiving friends on Cele's birthday, Thursday, November 19, 2009 from 11:30 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at her daughter, Kelly's home in Clintonville. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer's Assoc.

Mom, you were the best mother in the world. You were smart, ambitious and always so much fun. You taught us about integrity, honor and decency. We will love you and will always miss you. – Your girls.
