Loyola Rose Smits

Age 90, passed away Thursday, July 26, 2001 at St. Paul Home. Loyola was born in Kaukauna on October 9, 1910, daughter of the late Raymond and Elizabeth (Hoolihan) Eagan. She was married for over fifty years to Ted Smits who preceded her in death.

She is survived by two sons: Richard T. (Judy) Smits of Kaukauna and James J. Smits of Appleton; a grandson: Todd A. Smits of Kaukauna; a special nephew: Charles Lieding of Kaukauna; and her guardian and dear friend: Rose Simon – Kazik of Kaukauna.

A memorial funeral liturgy for Loyola will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, July 28, 2001 (TODAY) at HOLY CROSS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 309 Desnoyer Street in Kaukauna with Fr. Jim Lucas officiating. Inurnment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Saturday from 9:30 AM until the hour of the service.
