Age 67, died unexpectedly Wednesday, June 6, 2001 at Appleton Medical Center. Larry was born January 13, 1934 to the late Harry Nick and Ida Virginia (Reid) Riley in Beckley WV. He married the former Jean Schmidt on July 6, 1968 at St. Martin Lutheran Church in Clintonville. Larry worked as a meat cutter for area grocery stores for 23 years. He then worked for Elipticon Wood Products for 8 years. In 1996, Larry retired to spend more time with his loving wife, family and to pursue his passion for woodworking. His enjoyment of the outdoors took him fishing, hunting and to his cabin in northern Wisconsin.

He is survived by his wife, Jean; two daughters, Debra (Tim) McKinney and Tari (Charles) Parsons; five grandchildren, Nicole, Derek, Joshua, Adam and Chad; two great grandchildren, Laura and Melissa; one brother, Harry Nick Riley Jr. and a special nephew, Mark Riley.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, McRae and Archie Riley.

The Memorial Service will be 3:00 PM, Sunday, June 10, 2001 at the WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME, 537 North Superior Street with Pastor Daniel Thews officiating. Visitation will be Sunday at the FUNERAL HOME from 1:00 PM until the time of service.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established.
