Laird Arthur Strand

STRAND, Laird Arthur
Laird Arthur Strand passed away on Friday, April 15, 2005. He was born September 14, 1932 to the late Arthur and Mildred Strand in Virginia, Minnesota. Laird grew up in Minnesota and Ironwood, Michigan. He then attended Michigan State University in Lansing, Michigan. Laird married Suzanne Freedstrom, December 28, 1960. The family moved to Appleton in 1971.

Laird is survived by his wife, Suzanne, and their children: Laurie Strand (Fred Kamps), Chanhassen, Minnesota; Laird W. Strand (Joan), Shoreview, Minnesota; and Leda Strand (Michael England), Glendale, Wisconsin. He was also the proud grandfather of Frederick Kamps, Greta Kamps, and Laird R. Strand.

The memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 23, 11:30 am, at Christ The King Church, 601 S. Washington Street, Combined Locks, Wisconsin, with Rev. Bill Schroeder officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes that memorials be made to the Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin.
