June D. Carlsen (Smith)

Age 84, passed away on October 7, 2002 at Appleton Medical Center, in Appleton.
June was born to the late Chris and Pearl Smith in Gladstone, Michigan on June 19, 1918. She graduated from Gladstone High School and later married Howard Carlsen on March 19, 1937. They enjoyed over 65 years of marriage together. The two of them moved to Appleton in 1948 and were faithful members of St. Matthew Ev. She will be greatly missed by her husband, Howard, daughter, Sharon (Joseph) Jochman, Port Washington, WI; granddaughters: Carolyn (Thomas) Edwards, Julie (Sean) Marchant, and Katie Jochman; sister, Marguerite Girard; niece Sandy (Ken) DeShambo, nephew, Chris (Margaret) Girard.
She was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Lowell Girard.

A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, October 10, 2002 at 11:00 AM at St. Matthews Ev. Lutheran Church (129 S. Mason St.) with Pastor Jeffrey Verbecke officiating. Visitation will begin at 9:30 AM until the time of service also at church. Interment will take place at Highland Memorial Park, Appleton.
