Age 72, went peacefully to meet her Lord on June 19, 2007. She was lovingly attended by her family and loved ones at her home in Wrightstown, WI. Julia was born in Merrill, WI, the daughter of the late Theodore and Elizabeth (Hassel) Gruetzmacher. Julia was a full Colonel in the Army Reserves, retired a registered nurse anesthetist. She served as the past president of the Brown County Bee Keepers Association, a position she held for many years. Most importantly, she is known for her faithful service to the Lord Jesus Christ whom she loved dearly and served by having a fellowship in her home for the past 20 years. She is survived by brothers: Daniel Gruetzmacher of Wausau, Gene Gruetzmacher of Merrill and Donald Gruetzmacher of Minneapolis, MN; and sisters: Emily Turner of Denver, CO and Eva Ficke of Pinellas Park, FL. A committal service will be at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, June 22, 2007 at ST. JAMES CEMETERY near Merrill, WI.
