Jisheng Shen

Jisheng Shen

Age 58, of Appleton, passed away very suddenly on Saturday, June 14, 2008, in
Calumet County.

He was born September 18, 1949, in Jilin City, Jilin Province, China, the son of
Shaoxin Shen and Runqing Wang. On July 24, 1980, he was united in marriage to
Duo Cao in Jilin, and in June of the following year he moved to the United
States to provide a higher quality of life for his family. Duo joined him three
years later.

He received his Doctorate degree from the Stevens Institute of Technology in New
Jersey in 1989. In July of 1999, the Shen family relocated to the Fox Valley,
and Jisheng was employed with the Kimberly-Clark Corporation as a Research
Scientist, and later promoted to the Senior Research Scientist level.

Jisheng will be remembered as a loving father and husband who always put his
family first. His hobbies included jogging, basketball, reading Chinese novels,
and working on his garden.

Jisheng is survived by his parents, his wife, his son, Yan Shen, and his
daughter, Jing Shen, of Appleton; his brother and sister, Xinsheng Shen and
Suzhen Jin, and Qiaoyin Shen and Xuepeng Cheng, of China.

Memorial services for Jisheng will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 21, 2008, at
the FOX VALLEY CHINESE CHRISTIAN CHURCH, 209 South Allen Street, Appleton,
(Trinity Lutheran site), with Rev. Mark Huang officiating. The family will greet
friends and colleagues at the church after services for fellowship and
visitation.

A memorial fund has been established.
