Jay Sonnleitner, 55, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, November 18, 2009.
Jay was born on December 31, 1953 to Frank and Majel (Reinert) Sonnleitner in Appleton. Jay worked as a truck driver for Trico Excavating, Ort trucking, other trucking firms in the valley, and Fox River Paper for many years. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and especially his grandchildren. Jay also enjoyed sending e-mails to his internet buddies and watching NASCAR races on the weekends at Tasha's.
Jay is survived by his significant other of 22 years Lori Gillespie, Appleton, his children; Jason Sonnleitner, Appleton, Peter (Jen) Sonnleitner and Sara (Troy) Bourasaw, Menasha, and Logan Gillespie, Appleton, grandchildren, Taya Sonnleitner, Brynna Sonnleitner and Sarina, Trevor and Elijah Bourasaw. Jay is further survived by mother, Majel Sonnleitner, his brother Paul (Sharon) Sonnleitner, Appleton, one uncle Ed Sonnleitner, King, Lori's mother and sister; Mary Gillespie, Appleton and Cheri (Mike) Manderfield, Kaukauna, and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Jay was preceded in death by his father Frank Sonnleitner and Lori's father, Jim Gillespie.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, November 21, 2009 at 11:00 AM at St. Thomas More Catholic Church (1810 N. Mc Donald St.)with Father Gerald Falk officiating. A time of visitation will be held on Saturday morning from 9 AM until the time of Mass at the Church.
