Age 95, died Sunday, August 1, 2004, at Theda Clark Regional Medical Center. Hildegarde was born on November 20, 1908, in Shepley, Wisconsin, to the late Carl and Amanda (Diestler) Wohlfeil. Hildegarde was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She enjoyed reading, cooking, crossword puzzles, gardening, and was also an active member of a sheepshead card club in Shiocton for over 60 years. Hildegarde was a 1927 graduate of Wittenberg High School. She was later employed at Pranges and Hortonville Manufacturing Company. Survivors include her daughters, Nancy (Ron) Rubsam, Neenah, and Karen (John) Johnson, Shiocton; her grandchildren, Todd Rubsam, Menasha, Rick (Helen) Rubsam, Neenah and Dawn (John) Steinberg, Yuma, Arizona; her great grandchildren, Lexie Rubsam, Neenah, and Dietrich Steinberg, Yuma, Arizona. She was preceded in death by her brother, Rudolph (Irene) Wohlfeil; and infant sister, Norma Wohlfeil; and her sisters, Alfrieda (Bill) Dorpat, Selma (Roy) Yentz, Lillian (Vernon) Froehlich and Hertha (Ray) Naumann. Funeral services will be at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 4, 2004, at WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME, Tri-County Chapel, Menasha, with Funeral Celebrant Pete Reinl officiating. Friends may call directly at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of services. Interment will be in Bovina Cemetery, Shiocton.
