GREGORY, GORDON
Gordon “Gordy” Gregory, 65, passed away on Friday, February 5, 2010 in Antigo after an unfortunate snowmobile accident. Gordon was born on March 19, 1944 to George and Esther Gregory in Neenah. He married Judy Collar on August 6, 1966 in Appleton. Gordy worked for American Can in the printing industry for over 40 years until his retirement in 2006. He was know as Gordy “Good Guy”, the Last of the Good Guys by all who knew him and that was who he was; always there to lend a helping hand to anyone in need, a kind and caring man who will be missed by all who knew him. Gordy loved the outdoors whether he was out riding his bike, kayaking, cruising the lake in his pontoon boat or just spending time at his cottage in Crivitz, but most important in his life was spending time with his wonderful children and grandchildren. He enjoyed going to his grandchildren's many sporting events and also spending time with them. Gordon is survived his children Amy (Jim) Toporski and their children, Zachary, Emily and Erin, of Darboy; Michael (Karen) Gregory and their son Jacob Van Domelen, of Appleton; and Jennifer (Kevin) Theyel, and their children, Josh, Kelsey and Kaitlyn, of Little Chute; a brother, Ron (Sandy) Gregory, Fort Worth TX; sisters-in-law, Debra (John) Kemkes and Barb (Dennis) Duchow; brothers-in-law, Michael (Kaye) Collar and Patrick (Cheryl) Collar; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Gordy was preceded in death by his parents, his beloved wife of 40 years, Judy and a brother Gary Gregory. Funeral services for Gordy will be held on Tuesday, February 9, 2010, at 7:00 PM at the WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Danny Bond officiating. A time of visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4:00 PM until the time of services at the Funeral Home.
Dad,
Thank you for being such a loving, caring and supportive Dad, you took such amazing care of Mom while she was sick; you showed us what real love was, we will miss your smiling face and knowing you were always a phone call away. Please watch over Mom in heaven, Love, Amy, Mike and Jenny.
Grandpa,
We were so lucky to have you as a grandpa. You were always so much fun to be around. We especially loved when you walked us on the ceiling. We will always miss and love you. Please take care of Grandma. Love, Josh, Zach, Kelsey, Emily, Jacob, Erin and Kaitlyn.
The family would like to extend a special and heart felt thanks to everyone involved in helping at the scene of Gordys accident and another special thanks goes to John for being there for him for the last 3 years.
