Age 85, passed away on Wednesday, January 16, 2002 in Appleton. Gertie was the third daughter of the late Andrew and Mary Ellen Brown (Starkey). Gertie was born in West Allis, WI on September 3, 1916. She married Noel F. Pilgreen on June 12, 1937. Gertie was a well known Realtor in the Fox Valley, retiring in 1982. She belonged to the Fox Valley Christian Fellowship. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Noel in 1958; sisters Murial Fleckenstein of Brookfield, WI, and Ellen Tetml of Rosenberg, TX. She is survived by her three children: Mary (Gerald) Kujawa of Anthony Kansas; Gary of Milwaukee; and Glen (Veronica) of Waupaca; seven grandchildren: Karen (Howard) Klino of Houston, TX; Geri Pilgreen (Patrick Burke) of Milwaukee; Katie (Reynold) Bacon of Waukesha; Michael (Anne) Pilgreen of Watertown; Carolyn Pilgreen of Milwaukee; Dorothy (James) Murray, Appleton; and Kalla (Cory) Dougherty of Red Granite, WI. She is further survived by 12 Great Grandchildren and several extended great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, January 19, 2002 at Fox Valley Christian Fellowship(1200 W. Kimberly Ave.) at Noon with Pastor Brian Pingel officiating. Visitation will be held at 10:00 AM until the time of service at church. Interment will take place in St. Mary Cemetery in Appleton. A memorial fund is being established.
