Our dear Mother went to her home in heaven on Wednesday, May 1, 2002. She was born Gerda Dorothy Leisering on December 15, 1914 to the late Carl and Clare (Koehnke) Leisering. She graduated from St. Paul Lutheran grade school and Appleton Highschool. She later married Edwin L. Krueger in 1935, and together they raised 5 children: Joan(Jack) Brouillard, Gretchen (Bob) Boughton, Tom (Ruth) Krueger, John H. Krueger, and Jeff (Sandy) Krueger. Eleven Grandchildren: Bob Brouillard, Patty Wonser, Dan (Karen) Boughton, Tim (Angie) Boughton, Erick (Laura) Boughton, Jennifer (Jon) Carrick, Mark Krueger, Mary (Steve) Gassner, Andrew Krueger, Michael Krueger, and Amy Krueger. There are 11 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
Gerda enjoyed serving family and her church in many capacities, and also getting together with her sister and cousins. Gerda always took pleasure in gardening.
Our Lord saw that she was suffering and heard our prayers.
We rejoice with the angels. She will be missed by many. Mother was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years and her sister and brother-in-law, Margarete and Milton of Ohio.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2002 at 11:30 AM at Riverview Ev. Lutheran Church (136 W. Seymour St.) with Reverend Dennis Belter officiating. Visitation will be one half hour prior to the service also at church. Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery in Appleton, on Monday, May 6, 2002 at 10:00 AM. Memorials may be directed to the church.
