Age 76
Of Appleton, passed away after a short illness on December 23, 2003 at Appleton Medical Center. Gail was born on May 26, 1927 to the late Paul and Ann Harvath and grew up in Niagara, Wisconsin. She wed Edmund Trunk on February 5, 1949 and together resided in Appleton. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
She is and always will be the cornerstone to our family. We will never forget her amazing smile, her wonderful sense of humor and her ability for making great cookies.

Survivors include her husband, Edmund; daughters: Ann (Jim) Binversie, Nancy (Al) Sonnenberg, Linda (Roger) Schabo, Jeanne (Chunk) Brochtrup, Margaret Trunk, Angie (Jim) Fassbender; one son, Jim (Jackie) Trunk; grandchildren: Glen (Tina) Binversie, Jenny (Matt) Stuewer, Craig Binversie, Amy Sonnenberg, Terry Sonnenberg and special friend Leah, Tim Sonnenberg and special friend Amber, Amanda and David Schabo, Michael Brochtrup and special friend Kara, Jim, Lisa and Nick Brochtrup, Michelle, Melissa and Eric Trunk, Aerial, Morgan and Lincoln Spang, Josh, Rachel and Katie Fassbender; great-grandchildren, Kyle and Justin Stuewer and Jackson Steffens.

She was preceded in death by her son, Glen Trunk, parents; sister, Pat Peterson, brothers: Paul, Tom and Jim Harvath; parents-in-law, Emil and Bertha Trunk; brother-in-law, Don Ziemer; sisters-in-law, Dorothy Kern, Millie Trunk and Rose Steck; and a nephew, Mark Trunk.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, December 27, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church (222 E. Fremont St.) with Father Robert Karuhn officiating. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. until the time of services also at church. Interment will take place in St. Joseph Cemetery, Appleton.

The family would like to give a special thank you to all the doctors, nurses, respiratory therapists OR team and everyone who cared for mom at AMC and Fox Valley Surgical.
