Francis Elliott, 92, of Appleton passed away on Tuesday, September 8, 2009 at the Hospice Home of Hope in Fond du Lac. Francis was born on August 16, 1917 to the late Charles and Anna (Nelson) Elliott in Naturita, CO. He married Marcille Weber on November 28, 1940. Francis proudly served his country during WWII in the US Navy. Francis worked at Automotive Supply Company for many years as a salesman and later as an insurance agent with Combined Insurance. In his later years he worked for Bergstrom Auto picking up and delivering cars for them. He was an avid Steelhead fisherman and also enjoyed hunting and was a member of Trout Unlimited. Francis is survived by 3 children, Ann Baer, Milwaukee, John (Kathryn) Elliott, Black River Falls, and Mary Frances (Bruce) Prall, Fond du Lac, 8 grandchildren, Tracy (Scott) Nitzsche, Milwaukee, Michael Baer, Hurley, Matthew (Kelly) Baer, West Bend, Sam Roberts (Lisa) Elliott, Delaware, Steve Francis (Sarah) Elliott, Appleton, Jennifer Prall, Milwaukee, Jonathan (Abby) Prall, Fond du Lac, Jeremy Prall, Madison, 7 great-grandchildren, Daniel Baer, Meagan Elliott, Brandon Elliott, Nicolas Baer, Zachary Nitzsche, Logan Prall and Spencer Elliott, and nieces nephews, other relatives and many friends. Francis was preceded in death by his wife, Marcille, his brother Charles Elliott Jr. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2009 at 11:00 am at the WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME, TRI COUNTY CHAPEL, 3212 S. Oneida St. Burial will be in the Highland Memorial Park. Friends may call on Saturday, from 10:00 am until the time of services at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Trout Unlimited.
