Elsa Schultz

November 18, 1945 — May 10, 2014

Elsa Schultz, 68, passed away on Saturday, May 10, 2014 at Cherry Meadows. Elsa was born on November 18, 1945 to Raymond Archie and Laura Emma (Winterfeldt) Steward. She attended Woodlawn Grade School, Wilson Junior High School and graduated in 1963 from Appleton High School. On November 30, 1963 she married her high school sweetheart, Richard Eugene Schultz the son of Roy and Lucille (Presteen) Schultz. Elsa worked at S.S. Kresgee Company from 1963 until 1965, Aid Association for Lutherans from 1966 until 1997 when she took early retirement after 31 ½ years. She then worked part-time for Pensar Corpation (SMTC) 1998 till 2001 when she was diagnosed with breast cancer. Elsa sold AVON for many years, which she really loved doing and was her own best customer.

Because she so loved children, Elsa and Richard started the Buckaroo (5-8 year olds) youth program at St. Paul's Lutheran Church and School with the assistance of Joyce Malueg.

For 10 years she and Richard loved going to MIS on the bus for NASCAR races and camping at them with good friends, Gary and Debbie Thyssen; thereafter watching NASCAR races on TV. They also made frequent trips to Daytona Beach Shores, Florida. She was also an avid photography buff and was seldom seen without a camera. There was a room in their home known as her “Photography Room”.

Elsa was an extremely giving person to a fault; loving, and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, step –grandmother, aunt and friend.

Elsa is survived by one son David Allen, three grandchildren; Shane Allen Schultz, Savannah Marie Schultz, Florida, David Allen Schultz II, Appleton, two brothers; Douglas (Marion) Steward, Lyle (Gladys) Steward, three sisters; Eloise (Norman) Thede, Audrey (Quintin) Thede, Diane (Jim) Barrett, two brothers-in-law; James (Roselyn) Schultz, LeRoy (Linda) Schultz, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and her best friends, Pat (Dan) Schroeder, Sharon (Orland) Schmidt, Sharon (Dale) Lauren and many other friends.
