Elizabeth Jane Rohm, 66, died peacefully in her sleep Monday, August 31, 2004. Elizabeth was born January 5, 1938 in Appleton, the only child of John T. and Emily J. (Kaminski) Befort. Betty was raised in Kaukauna where she graduated from Kaukauna High School in 1956. On May 23, 1964 she married Elden Dean Rohm. Betty raised her two daughters and then went on to be employed for over 20 years at SAC/Valley Packaging, retiring in 2002. Betty’s greatest joy in life where her five “Darling” grandchildren; she will forever live on in them. Betty enjoyed traveling with her husband and friends, reading book after book and fussing over her loving cats and dogs.

Betty is survived by Dean her husband of 40 years; her daughters, Britt (Jeff) Piehl, Madison; Dana (Doug) Heenan, Platteville; her five “Darling” grandchildren, Rachael and Rebecca, Madison; Stephen, Alaina and Olivia, Platteville; three step-grandsons, Robert, Michael and Matthew, Madison; her special friends, Karen and Bud Genett, Neenah; her sisters-in-law, Carmen (Jerry) Bolwerk, Appleton; Verda (Melvin) Maynard, Greenville; Lori (Jim) Krueger, Appleton; and a brother-in-law, Dale (Mary) Rohm, Greenville. She was preceded in death by her parents, John T. and Emily J. Befort and her in-laws, Grant E. and Doris Y. Rohm.

Friends may call at the Wichmann Funeral Home, Saturday, September 4, 2004, from 8:30 – 11:30 am, with a prayer service at 11:30 am, with Deacon Randy Haak officiating. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established.
