Edward David Harbeck

April 21, 1937 — June 11, 2011

Edward D. Harbeck, 74, of Appleton, died Saturday June 11, 2011 at Cherry Meadows. He was born April 21, 1937, son of the late Herman and Mildren (Anderson) Harbeck. Edward married Connie Kuba on December 7, 2004.

Edward served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He worked as a supervisor for Overhead Door in Chicago until he retired in 1999. Edward enjoyed wood working, building his and Connie's deck and porch. He was very mechanical and enjoyed working and building things.

Edward is survived by his wife, Connie, two sons, Edward (Roxanne) Harbeck, Beaufort, North Carolina, and Pete Harbeck, Pinehurst, North Carolina; four grandchildren, Rebecca, Michael, Steven, and Jacob; Edward is further survived by 8 brothers and sisters. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Lee, two brothers, and two sisters-in-law.

Memorial service will be held at 1:30 pm on Saturday June 18, 2011 at the WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME with Rev. Tim Albrecht officiating. Visitation will begin at 11:00 am until the hour of service.

Edwards's family would like to give a special thank you to his special friends, Hue Carew, and Mario Delgado, the hospice staff at Cherry Meadows, and Theda Care at home visiting nurses, all his doctors who helped Edward this past year, and his brother Ray who helped Connie through every day.
