Age 68, was called home on Thursday, September 27, 2001, at St. Elizabeth Hospital. Edna was born on March 10, 1933, in Ysleta, Texas, to the late John L. and Lillian (Smith) Stevens, Jr. She married Herbert Zellmer on June 27, 1948, in Montello, Wisconsin; he preceded her in death on November 22, 1995. They lived in Montello, Wautoma, Black Creek and retired to Appleton. Edna worked as an LPN in the surgical department of AMC, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Nursing Home in Seymour, at Plamann School with the special needs students, and the Outagamie County Health Center. She had a special place in her heart for those she cared for and was always there to share the burdens of others. Following her retirement her great joy was her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Survivors include her children, David (Dorothy) Zellmer, Mukwonago; Barbara Zellmer-Dalhoe, Neenah; Steven (Nona) Zellmer, Waukesha; James (Christine) Zellmer, Little Chute; Timothy (Robin) Zellmer, Appleton; and Kristine Zellmer, Little Chute; her grandchildren, Cheri (Josh) Werner and their children, Lauren, Jordan and Savannah; Christopher (Kerry) Dalhoe; Annie Zellmer, Joshua Zellmer; Micah Zellmer; Erin (Dennis) Ellenbecker; Crystal Zellmer; James Zellmer, Jr.; Melissa Zellmer; Andrew Zellmer; and Elizabeth Zellmer; her brother-in-law, Herman A. Grams. Sheboygan Falls; her brother, Al Stevens, California; and her nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister-in-law, Wilda Grams; her sister, Helen; and her brothers Weldon and John. Private funeral services will be held on Sunday, September 30, 2001. Entombment will be in Highland Memorial Park. A memorial has been established in her name to benefit Fox Valley Lutheran High School.

Mom—Thank you for all the hugs, all the talks and for all the prayers. We love you very much. You will be missed.
