Age 90,
Of Appleton, formerly of Castro Valley, CA
passed away on August 5, 2003 at Appleton Medical Center. Dorothy was born and raised in Chicago, IL to the late Edward and Augusta Holloway on July 7, 1913. She married James Dimmock on December 29, 1935. Dorothy volunteered for many organizations including: Mended Hearts, Boys and Girls Club, Franklin School, and for schools in Truckee and Union City, CA. She was also a Girl Scout leader and a member of Emmanuel United Methodist Church, Appleton, and United Methodist Church in Castro Valley, CA, for over 30 years.
Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Judy Inman; son, Jim (Judith) Dimmock; grandchildren: Katrina, Joe, Lee, Jenny, Jed, Lisa, Bill, and Sarah; and 16 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, James, and a daughter Joanne Stevens.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, August 8, 2003 at 7:30 PM with Pastor David Kalas officiating at Emmanuel United Methodist Church (740 E. College). Memorials may be directed to either the Boys and Girls Club or the American Cancer Society.
